All day the forecast showed no rain at the time of the ceremony. It started raining within 5 minutes of the ceremony start time. Mother nature don't play, ya'll! There ceremony went on and the day was perfect, rain & all.   Erika's dad officiated! It is a tall order to both give away the bride and officiate. He rocked it! I have a soft spot for this because my dad officiated my wedding.  Michael broke my heart in the best way approximately 32 times during the ceremony. His love for Erika is wildly evident.     Yep. Erika: The most memorable moment of the day was the entire ceremony. Seeing Michael for the first time as I was walking down the aisle with tears in his eyes and standing next to him as my dad officiated the ceremony was so special and something I will never forget! Michael: Seeing Erika for the first time at the top of the steps & walking down the aisle. Any advice for future brides/grooms? Focus on the positives! Don’t get wrapped up in the little details or the things that go wrong. Spend time dancing and laughing with your friends/family that you love! Most hilarious moment? There are so many! Seeing our parents/grandparents dancing all night long! My brother doing a backflip for his introduction at the reception. Our maid of honor/best men speeches had us cracking up & then crying by the end! Best thing you did on your wedding day? Michael: not knowing a single detail about the dress & not doing a first look Erika: praying with my bridesmaids a lot that day & watching the video montage that Michael surprised me with the morning of the wedding! Also, having a mom that could be a professional wedding coordinator was extremely helpful! Any photo-specific advice for future brides/grooms? Make sure you choose a photographer that has a good personality too! You spend a lot of time with them on the wedding day. Kristine was like having another friend by our side!
