 Jon and Ashley are a wonderful pair and I am so excited to share some of my favorite wedding moments. Check out their engagement session!       I'll confess, I stared at the above photo long after I finished editing the image. No shame. I know you're doing it right now too.    This awesome couple trusted me to choose their first look location. It was private and such a lovely time. Reason #573 I love being a wedding photographer: I am given a backstage pass to every moment of the wedding.        Ashley had her friends wear pieces of her mother's jewelry, including this ankle bracelet which Ashley claims Jackie rocked way after they were "in." Jackie had the confidence to pull anything off. Like mother, like daughter!        Ashley grew up down the road from this adorable chapel. Her pastor since she was 14 officiated and the church was filled with loved ones.               Jon & Ashley, thank you for inviting me to witness this amazing day. I have loved getting to know you, Jon. Ashley, it was surreal to see my lovely childhood friend become the most gorgeous bride. I know you both will have a wonderful life together. Ashley: Definitely when we were doing our vows. The ceremony was so special and listening to Jon was my favorite moment for sure. Jon: The first look - it was very memorable. The location was beautiful and Kristine was so kind - she gave us our space but still captured it. Any advice for future brides/grooms? Pick what you like and don’t worry about other people’s opinions. (And hire Kristine!!!) Most hilarious moment? Dancing was so fun and funny, people had a blast! And photography wise..at one point Kristine backed into a bunch of bushes in the woods just to get a better shot. That was pretty hilarious! What was the best thing you did for yourselves on the wedding day? We both are really happy we chose to do a first look because then we were able to spend most of the day together. Where did you honeymoon? South Carolina Anything else? It was one of the most peaceful and joyful days of my life. The presence of the Lord was so evident and it was such a fun time. Even hard moments like visiting my Mom’s grave were special and colored with joy and peace.
