Kyle and Crystal got MARRIED!
They are soup snakes.... and big fans of The Office, if you're not sure what a soup snake is. ;)
And I've decided to plug some fun Office easter eggs throughout this post. If you're not a fan (?!) feel free to simply enjoy the extreme amazingness of this day and catch up with their engagement session.

I keep getting the most gorgeous brides.
I'm not superstitious but I am a little-stitious so I'm going to knock on wood and hope these gorgeous ladies keep coming my way.

I am afraid of how much I love this bridal party.

I won't tell you exactly what led to these classic expressions but it was a real-life 'that's what she said' kind of moment.

Sometimes you just have to be the boss of dancing.

Kyle & Crystal, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your wedding! It was like pretzel day x100 and I was honored to capture it. I have to end this by saying, occasionally I'll murder a bench. So sue me.

What was the most memorable moment?

Crystal: For me, the most memorable moment was the reading of our vows. Obviously Kyle & I know how much we love each other (I mean, we did get married an all), but to stand in front of 200 of our closest friends and family and declare those feelings and share our promises of a lifetime together was an amazing feeling.

Kyle: At one moment during the night I looked out and realized that I was in a room full of the most important people in my life. I couldn't have been happier to have all of our guests there and see that everyone was having a great time. It was wonderful to be able to share that day with everyone. 

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Don't freak out and feel like you have to plan everything and get it done all at once! We made a running checklist of all the things we needed to do/buy/plan for the wedding and took time to check items off a little at a time. We also didn't use all of our free time for wedding stuff- sometimes you need to just take some time off! By doing it this way we were able to take our time and not get too overwhelmed. By the last few weeks there were only a few things left and we didn't have to freak out about meeting deadlines. 

Most hilarious moment?

Crystal: During the ceremony, Kyle got a little misty eyed and I reached into my wedding dress pocket (YES, you read that right, DRESS POCKET) and pulled out the handkerchief my MOH had made as my "something blue"- it said "Keep your s**t together". It broke the seriousness a little bit and got a laugh out of Kyle & our guests.

Kyle: There was a moment just after the maid of honor speech that I will remember forever. I leaned over to give her a hug after the speech and lost my balance. In order to stop my fall, I accidentally put my hand in an inappropriate place on my new bride. Fortunately, I was able to remedy the situation quickly enough though the deed was done. The face I made afterwards and my embarrassment is something that I will laugh at forever. 

What is the best thing you did to prepare for your wedding? What is the best thing you did for yourself that day?

The best thing we did to prepare for our wedding was to start the process early & choose wedding vendors based on our values that we wanted to express on our wedding day. We specifically chose small businesses for as much of our wedding as possible because we both value building up others and having a personal experience with the people with whom we work.

The best thing we did the day of the wedding was spend time with our wedding party having fun. The girls all met for hair, makeup, & brunch and the guys met up to go disc golfing. Since our ceremony wasn't until later in the day we were able to take our time and have fun!

Where did you honeymoon?

Due to Hurricane Irma our honeymoon to Sandals Emerald Bay has been postponed until December. Since we already had the time off, though, we went on a mini-moon to Niagara Falls, Ontario & had a relaxing time.
