Matthew and Amanda met at work. You just never know where or when you'll meet THE ONE. :) These two did a first look and it was just about the sweetest thing. I had the ever fabulous Justina of Justina Roberts Photography with me for the day. Hey girl - Love workin' with ya! I knew pictures were important to Amanda and when I heard their engagement story I thought it was so sweet Matthew captured it on camera in the form of a selfie, :) They hiked to the place they had one of their first dates and OF COURSE had to take a selfie. To Amanda's surprise (and delight), Matthew held out not only the phone but a beautiful ring as well! This bridal party was cracking me up. So fun to work with them! After a quick bustling of the dress, I whisked these two away for a quiet moment alone and of course a few more portraits! Guys. The kids at my weddings lately have been KILLIN' IT. Matthew and Amanda, your love is so evident. I'm glad you chose me to capture it! 2nd Shooter: Justina Roberts Wedding Coordinator: Janet Capocci Hair by: Famous Hair Florist: Susan Paquin DJ: Bill Manos Cake: Fisher's Foods Wedding Dress/Bridesmaids Dresses By: David's Bridal Tux Rental: American Commodore Nails by: Forever Nails Ceremony/Reception Site: Conference Center - Kent State Stark Campus What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Amanda: It's so hard to say; the day went by so fast! I think that the most memorable thing was either the first look or our first dance. Both were big things for me. I was so excited to finally show Matt the dress, the whole look, everything that I had been talking about for the past year. Second was the first dance. We spent so much time trying to agree on a song that wasn't well known, or cheesy with cliche lyrics. I just remember dancing to our chosen song and actually catching ourselves singing the chorus to each other. Matthew: I think the most memorable moment of our wedding, to me, was the first look. Any advice for future bride/grooms? Just relax about the wedding and the wedding preparation. Stressing about it is worthless--just remember you have multitudes of people by your side to help you make your day the best it can be. Just focus on having fun on your day and on each other. Especially each other, considering that is why you are there in the first place! Most hilarious moment from your day? I ingested hairspray by accident thinking that it was breath spray. A friend gave me as a present a small emergency kit. As I was opening it I heard her mention that there was breath spray in there. I found a little bottle of clear liquid with a spray top and assumed that was what she was talking about. So I opened it and sprayed it into my mouth, only to be met with a weird taste without any minty freshness. I looked at the label and it said 'hair spray'. We all had a good laugh about it after I washed my mouth out with water. We later found the breath DROPS--blue liquid in a dropper bottle. I blamed nerves. What is the best thing you did in preparation for your wedding? I think the best thing for us, personally, was not separating after the rehearsal dinner and sleeping in the same bed like we would normally. Granted, we avoided each other once we went our separate ways to get ready but that made us reuniting that much better. Where did you go on your honeymoon? We're planning to go to Florida in the winter and, eventually, go on a real honeymoon in Yellowstone. Anything else you'd like to share about your wedding? Everyone who made our day a success are greatly appreciated and loved! We just hope that everyone had as much fun as we did.

These portraits are wonderful, but I especially love all the "moments" you captured. From the hugs to the kids to the dancing pics, those moments are precious, and hard to catch. Great job on all these!

Amanda & Matthew's beautiful day was captured perfectly. The photo of their first look, of her coming up the stairs is pretty much my favorite thing ever. That dress is seriously awesome!
